Wouldn't that be so annoying in the dark, like the backlight on the keyboard of a MBP when your watching a movie?
I've thought about that but I personally cup my thumb around the bezel so I wouldn't notice it....

No, no. You misunderstood. They switched from using a single base-ten number (OS 8, OS 9), to using a BINARY number and a base-ten number joined by a period. The binary number indicates the theme, while the base-ten number indicates significant os revisions.
So to illustrate, we currently have OS 10 (that's a binary ONE): FELINE
10.0 Cheetah
10.1 Puma
10.2 Jaguar
10.3 Panther
10.4 Tiger
10.5 Leopard
10.6 Lion
etc.
Next will be OS 01 (That's a binary TWO, and don't even try to tell me my endianness is wrong, because there is no wrong endianness for OS X, we all know that now). Anyway, the revision numbers will have to start over, and we'll have to go with a new AQUATIC theme, so you get:
01.0 Stingray
01.1 Jellyfish
01.2 Orca
01.3 Shark
etc.

Considering that this is in Beta and probably will be for a year, I don't think their risking losing sales to PPC people since its not for sale right now....by that time, a lot more people will be running Intel Macs. Perfect time to sell a nice polished product.

Agreed. Downloading anything on Edge is awful, but downloading mission critical graphical maps and directions when you get lost? Just dumb.

You're right that this state does have one of the highest deficits and tax rates for high incomes. However, if you look at the figures, despite the tax rate, Californians still earn more per capita on average than Texans. If you're looking to save money, it doesn't necessarily make sense to move.
Without going into the chicken/egg of it, Californians have to earn more since their housing costs are roughly 2/3 higher than Texas (per bankrate.com's cost of living comparison calculator as of this morning).
We earn less, but pretty much everything also costs less here.

Apologies for not coming back earlier, and thank you for your suggestions and comments. I agree a pocket watch would look good. Less contrast but nicer photo. However, it's a moot point as I'm fresh out of pocket watches at the moment! :) I've been waiting for some sun and me being here to reshoot it. Had to do it from the other side as it was 2 pm before the opportunity arose and maybe the background isn't as good, also tried a lower viewpoint this time.

I don't believe anything is really going to change. Al Queda is still alive, we are still spending 1,000,000 to 1 going broke trying to snuff out world wide terrorism, probably creating as many terrorists along the way as we destroy. :(
As I said in the other thread, I glad he is gone, he was a threat to peaceful existence as long as he was alive, but my gut feeling is that nothing is resolved.

You can't assume this will be used for SIPR. What about all the unclassified computers and devices? Our base has been fiddling around with some wifi lately. I don't know if we'll actually get it (doubt it) but it's a possibility.
And the Army in particular has been working on real, secure, Wi-Fi for years. Their intent is to have very hardened, approved, encryption to deliver secure data over a Wi-Fi type network to get data into mobile devices.
